I am interested in going to Akiyoshidai Plateau & Akiyoshido Cave. I am planning to buy a JR Sanyo Sanin Area Pass. According to Japan Guide, gJR Bus operates buses between Yamaguchi Station and Akiyoshido (60 minutes, 1210 yen, 6 round trips per day), while Bocho Bus operates buses between Shin-Yamaguchi Station and Akiyoshido (45 minutes, 1170 yen, 7-9 round trips per day). The Japan Rail Pass, JR Sanyo Sanin Area Pass, JR Okayama Hiroshima Yamaguchi Area Pass and JR Hiroshima Yamaguchi Area Pass are valid on JR buses but not on Bocho buses.h And I have found this timetable http://www.chugoku-jrbus.co.jp/pdf_e/route_bus/yamaguchi/20181001time_...so, I am quite confused since the above timetable I got from JR bus, but the heading is Bocho Line, so I am not sure if the JR Sanyo Sanin Area Pass will cover this if I travel from JR Yamaguchi station? And is there any JR bus from Shin-Yamaguchi Station? Thanks,

It says JR bus, not Bocho bus. The line is irrelevant as multiple bus companies can service any line.

Many Thanks for confirming that it is JR bus, so I can use JR Sanyo Sanin Area Pass which will cover JR Bus from JR Yamaguchi station.
Is there any JR bus from Shin-Yamaguchi Station too?
Thanks
