Proof of income: crypto

Hello guys!
I decided to go to Japan in Summer 2025 with a 1 year student visa but I heard that it's necessary to provide a proof of income (bank account history document for example). Is it possible to get money from cryptocurrency services (like Binance, Bybit, HTX and etc) and use it as a source of income that will be approved by immigration bureau?
Thanks in advance for answers.

I think in your case what they are actually looking for is that you have the necessary funds to cover rent and tuition along with living expenses. (Not exactly gincomeh) I studied abroad in London and that was the case for me. As far as accepting crypto I doubt it since they probably donft see it as liquid currency. It was a while ago, but I seem to remember having to get my parents to transfer money into my account for the full amount of my tuition or something like that. You could potentially sell your crypto to have the necessary assets in your bank account.

The government likes to see how many $$$ you have in your bank account to see if you can cover your living expenses. As crypto is emerging and can be volatile in value, I doubt that the people processing visas will know what to do with it. It would be similar to showing how much gold you have. It has value but is not an easy check box
