Niigata-Echigo Tsumari Art Field

Whe have planed to stay a night or two in Niigata. Can anyone advise whether it would be recommendable to drive all the way from Ikeda just to check it out? We are not sure whether October will be a good month to go.

e intend to alos check out Ecigo Tsumari Art Field which seem to be near Tokamachi.

Can one drive from Ikeda, enroute visit the field andstay overnight in Niigata?

town near Azumino,NAGANO PF or other area?

Sorry I mean Ueda. We intend to drive from here heading for Niigata rt Field but not sure if this will be recommended spot to visit....

"Snow monkey" most famous but not best season.

"michi-no eki(道の駅：road station)" are good for breaking/eating/shopping no parking fee.
