Hi, we intend to travel between Yamaguchi and Hagi by JR bus, because we have a JR Railpass. Do we have to buy a ticket in advance or do we just show our JR pass to the driver ?

Just show your JR Pass to the driver (when you exit, as I recall). The driver may write or stamp something on it.
