Hi!
How long do you think we need to allocate to ezplore Muro-ji please?
Its going to take us about 4 hours to get there (as a stop on route to Koyasan) so we may not arrive until early afternoon so just wondering if that would be enough?
Many thanks

I enjoyed Muro a lot. Ifd probably allocate 2-3 h to explore the temple, village and the open air art museum. http://bicycletraveljapan.blogspot.com/2024/03/d1-muro-temple-and-art....I can also highly recommend the lunch at Nakamuraya https://maps.app.goo.gl/F3iYzvcqSjDicLgPA?g_st=icDoing Muro as a stop over to Koyasan can make sense of you are coming from Nagoya, Iga Ueno or Ise direction. If you are coming from Osaka / Kyoto itfs really not on the way. If you are gadventurous g Ifd say skip Koyasan and instead spend a night in a ryokan in Muro, explore Muro and the 48 waterfalls in Akame. I went to Koyasan about 15 years ago before it became super famous. There were tourists but not too many. From all I hear now it is totally flooded by tourists. Muro isnft.
