Looking for a room or apartment in Kawasaki area. What's a good listing site?
Any other suggestions welcome. Thanks

Pretty much all real estate agencies have a listings website.

If you can read Japanese, sites like suumo.jp , homes.jp , chintai.net are good, but you will have to ask if the listing of your choice allows foreigners to rent it. A good English site: https://apartments.gaijinpot.com/en/rent/listingI think all of these are OK for foreigners but the choice is more limited. For all of these sites, you can search by area and train line/station. Kawasaki city is a long and narrow strip of land sandwiched between Tokyo and Yokohama, with virtually no North-South connection except the Nanbu line, so it will really depend on what line you will need to use to go to work. Good luck with your apartment search!

Are you going to be OK with the usual local rent agreement - two-year contract, with a local guarantor, with (usually) 2 month deposit & 2 month key money, sign-up needed for utilities, unfurnished - or are you looking for something else?

with virtually no North-South connection except the Nambu line Really? I used the Nambu line to commute for a while last year, and now use the Keihin-Tohoku line which runs north/south through . . . . Kawasaki.
And that is not counting the other north-south lines (Keikyu for example) that provide good access to Yokohama, Shibuya and other parts of Tokyo.

with virtually no North-South connection except the Nambu line Not true. Keihin-Tokoku is very much a north-south line, as is the Keikyu line between Yokohama and Shibuya (as examples). There are others.
Anyway, the OP didn't say if they were looking for a Japanese search site or something in English. The English options are more limited.
