Recommendations - Akiruno-shi & Kawagoe

Hi everyone,

I will be staying in Akiruno-shi for a couple of days in April. I plan to spent one of my days there hiking around Mount Mitake, super excited for this!

I'll have a spare day free before moving along to Kawagoe for a couple of days.

I'm happy to wing it and explore on my own, but am so excited was curious to see if anyone has some good recommendations for places to eat, or places of natural beauty or historical significance to check out.

I do not think I'll be bringing my heavy duty hiking shoes, so walks that aren't too strenuous would be appreciated.

Once in Kawagoe there seems to be plenty to see, so I think I should be fine but any recommendations are appreciated.

Thanks for the tip about Takaraso!!! Looks lovely, it’s about 45 mins car journey from where I am, will get advice from my Airbnb host about how easy it is to get there :)
