Visit Tottori in mid Dec '19

I am planning to visit Sand dunes / Museum in Tottori and plan to stay 1 or 2 nights around Tottori.
Can advice where can I stay and visit for 1/2 nights and 2/3 days and what can we sightsee around Tottori.

Additionally, if you are a fan of Detective Conan (Case Closed), you may consider heading to Yura Station (around an hour train trip depending on which train you take). From there, it is like a 20-minute walk to Conan Museum (the walk itself and the station are Conan-themed).
