@KK, Nothing change in my side after submit. No work change no resident. No contact for additional docs also no home/office visit. just silence. Keep tracking yourself by click below https://kanpou.npb.go.jp/index.html twice a week. Jack.

Hi!
Firstly, I wish you all the very best for your interview and hope everything goes smoothly for you. Ifm sharing my experience, but please note it can vary from person to person. I had my final interview in January and am now waiting for the final call. I was asked to take a Japanese test before the interview. Although I have been in Japan for more than 10 years, it still depends on the person in charge. The test covers writing Hiragana, Katakana, converting Katakana to Hiragana, comprehension, and essay writing.
The second part involves checking all the documents again and asking detailed questions about changes, reasons, and other specifics. So be prepared to answer those questions.
After the document review, the questions mainly relate to my work, such as what kind of job you do. The interview concludes with a pledge to sign, confirming that all submitted documents are true. They informed me that the final result would be given after 6-8 months.
Ifm still waiting, but from what Ifve heard, processing times can vary depending on where you apply. Usually, Tokyo seems to take longer compared to places like Saitama and Chiba. I hope everyonefs dreams of becoming Japanese come true.
Good Luck Guys !

Hi,
As I mentioned in my last message, the place where the test is conducted can vary. Initially, before I submitted the documents, they only checked my background, including my work history, stay in Japan, and communication skills. After that, they confirmed that I was eligible to apply and guided me on preparing the documents. However, the written exam was conducted during my final interview. I'm sorry; it's very difficult to comment on this approach.
Typically, you may need to go through 3-4 consultations depending on how well you prepare your documents.
What I mean is that the final interview usually takes place after all the documents are 100% ready. This final check includes reviewing the submitted documents, and if you have a family, they will need to confirm there are no objections and provide their signatures. There will also be follow-up and an interview.
Since you are in the stage of preparing your documents, make sure to give yourself ample time and ensure everything is perfect. Missing any documents will result in longer waiting times. Ifm not sure about Saitama, but in Tokyo, even just making an appointment to submit documents can take 3-4 months. I wish you the best of luck!

I understand your concern. Usually, they conduct a test to assess Japanese language skills. Without passing this test, it's not easy to proceed with the next steps. Some tests are conducted during the first consultation, while others are done during the final interview

My test was on the first consultation. I was told that I will take a test during the process after he found that Ifm qualify to apply. So he asked me if I wanted to take the test on the very day or I can wait till my next appointment, I decided to take the tests on the first day because I didnft want to think about it. It was okay.Just hiragana and katakana and some basic kanji

No it's easy to proceed without the test if you're good at Japanese enough. They make you take the test if they feel you are not confident / if they aren't with your skills. I'm fluent and didn't have to take one. I even didn't know qbout this test before reqding this thread.
