Kansai thru pass bus to Horyu-Ji

We are planning on buying a Kansai Thru Pass to visit Nara and other sights around Kyoto and Osaka. We would also like to visit Horyu-Ji. I notice there are Nara Kotsu buses to the temple from Kintetsu-Nara station or from Oji station but I cannot find if these bus routes are included in the Kansai Thru Pass. DOes anybody know?

Yes, Nara Kotsu buses to Horyuji are covererd.

It seems Kansai Thru Pass is no longer available as of March 31,2024.
They start selling Kansai Railway Pass from April1,2024, which is available for only Private Railways around Kansai area. So you can't use Kansai Railway Pass for the trip from Nara to Horryuji by Nara Kotsu Bus.

I recommend to purchase 1-Day Pass Widefrom Nara to Horyuji by Nara Kotsu Bus as below:

Or you can take JR Train from Nara Station to Horyuji Station, then take a bus from Horyuji Station to Horyuji Temple by bus, which costs 450 yen in total and it takes only 30 minutes.
If you take a bus from JR Naraeki Bus Stop to Horyuji Bus Stop, it takes about an hour and it costs 880 yen.
