Warming toilet seats in summer

I've noticed over the years that a few public places (like some supermarkets) already have the warming function on for the toilet seat. This, even when the weather's still so hot and humid. I'm trying to figure out what management could possibly be thinking. Would it be for a particular reason (such as for the elderly or for early preparation for when autumn arrives, or ???)

The majority of places don't do that, so I wouldn't say that it is common. But on the other hand, I've encountered it enough times that I wouldn't say it's rare either.

I have a (older) friend who always keeps the toilet seat warmer on, and I once asked why, since it was quite a hot day. She said, "Oh, wouldn't that be more comfortable for everybody?" I tried to be frank and polite at the same time by telling her that I never imagined it would but I that I don't mind if it's on either (and I discreetly turned it off when using it, and then turned it back on when leaving, but set the temperature slightly lower).

Maybe someone thought it was better to be turned on. Or maybe there was a customer who requested it. If it's a supermarket, I'm sure you can send opinions to them. Or you can simply ask a clerk.

Perhaps the manufacturers are missing a chance to improve the toilet features?

Wouldn't true luxury be a heated seat in winter and a cooled seat in summer?

Maybe call it "a(w)/c"?

personally i am not too keen to sit on a block of ice while toileting
even in summer :D
but have to say the innovative product idea may be appealing to the niche market

I think it’s an idea with longevity, not just a flash in the pan as they say lol
