Icoca and Osaka pass combined

Hi, I'm just wondering how to pay for the following trip when I have Osaka 1 day pass and it only covers part of the trip :
Minoh Kayano to Esaka (Kita Osaka Kyuko Railway) JPY 240 (excluded from Osaka pass)
Esaka to Namba (Osaka Metro) JPY 290 (included in Osaka Pass)

It's a direct train (doesn't have to change at Esaka).

How can I pay the JPY 240 using the Icoca ?

I don't know how this pass works, but had a similar issue in Tokyo. Basically, you have to pay the difference at a manned counter / gate window (sorry, I don't know the exact term for it) at the arrival station. I could pay with an IC card in Tokyo.
