Thanks for your reply, but I do found some information about JR bus in Yamakuchi, I would like to clarify it http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e6155.htmlBy JR Bus "JR Bus operates 8-11 round trips per day between Yamaguchi Station and Higashi-Hagi Station. Some buses also connect to Shin-Yamaguchi Station on the Sanyo Shinkansen. The one way trip from Yamaguchi Station to Hagi costs 1760 yen and takes 60-80 minutes. From Shin-Yamaguchi Station it costs 2060 yen and takes about 90 minutes. The Japan Rail Pass is valid on these JR buses. " I still waiting answer from JR west

The Japan Rail Pass covers the JR Buses to Hagi, but the Yamaguchi Hiroshima area pass does not. It is as simple as that.

The Yamaguchi-Hiroshima pass is a pass of JR West. JR West does not operate any buses that I know of, and in particular the bus to Hagi is operated by JR Bus Chugoku, which is a completely different company. Perhaps it is time to stop referring to "JR trains" or "JR buses"...
