Kurobe George - Visiting in November

Hi,

Does anyone know when Kurobe George is fully re-opening? I was planning to visit in mid-november. I have seen that it is now possible to get off at Nekomata Station (previously not possible).

For those who have been, would you still go if you can only complete half of the route?

your visit coincides with the autumn foliage (according to latest forecast)
and Kurobe Gorge is a beautiful place to visit all year round
even if it is just half of it 宇奈月駅 Unazuki−猫又駅 Nekomata
not to mention you can enjoy 秘湯黒薙温泉 Kuronagi Onsen and an afternoon stroll along 黒薙遊歩道 Kuronagi Promenade

the entire route 宇奈月駅 Unazuki −欅平駅 Keyakidaira will not be opened until at least 2025
depending on the progress of the reconstruction work

by the way there is トロッコ電車車庫見学会 on 13Oct
if you are a die hard rail fan
then please feeel free to visit the trolley train depot (free entry) at 機関車検修庫 near 宇奈月駅
