Is this a good christmas gift?

Hello,

I want to give a Christmas gift to a Japanese woman. I don't know her very well. She is in her 30's.

I'm Dutch but living in Japan now. My idea was to give her a Dutch Delftsblauw decorative plate. Would this be a good gift, or should i think of something else?

I know it's a bit early to be christmas gift shopping, but a family member is visiting so they can bring something that's actually Dutch.

Please let me know if this is a good idea!

I would think a plate or bowl who is not only decorative but usable for food or snacks would be a good idea. You could put some "original dutch" sweets to your present that are not available in Japan.
