Business manager visa without background 2024/7/10 16:26
Hi all,

I am an IT engineer, 40 yo, working in a multinational corporation but I want to open a small company in the tourism sector in Japan.
I have 15m\ in bank account and I speak basic Japanese.
I plan to contact a lawyer but do you think it would be possible to obtain a "Business Manager" visa since I have no professional experience in the tourism sector and I have never had a business?

Thanks !

I think you will be able to answer your own question when you write your business plan. If you know what you are doing, it will show. If you have no experience running a business, then it will be readily apparent. Changing fields isn't necessarily a roadblock.
Time in business (running one) is also an important data point for the assessment. My lawyers always told me the Business Manager visa is the hardest one to apply for.
