Hi I'm rika I'm 15 turning 16 I grew up being around Japanese tradition from my mother I've visited Okinawa twice with my mother growing up and I know some Japanese, since I've grown up I'm still in love with Japan and my household has become toxic so I'm studying more Japanese and I have books I've written in for plans on how to move there in the future I don't come from a wealthy family to help me out and have cut ties with most i have started work to save up but i have only got up to £950 I did have £1000 but someone took 50 I really want to know how much it would be to move to japan like food shopping, rent, bills and whats the cheapest place to live I would also like to find out about some jobs and how much they pay there

any feedback will be highly appreciated thank you for taking your time to read this!

Apart from money (and that would be much more than 1000 GBP) you would need:
- residence status (either a Japanese passport if you are actually Japanese or a visa. A visa realistically you can only get once you have graduated from school and come as language/ university student to Japan)
- money to fund your life in Japan. This can be either a work contract or a lot of saved money to pay for language school/university and your daily expenses

Realistically none of this is achievable in the short term.

So find a solution to your home issues in your own country. There must be some child support services in your country to contact to discuss your situation and worst case there should be some options for you to leave home and live in a youth housing or foster family or something like this.

Living alone in Japan without money , without being fluent in the language and without family and friends will be a 100 times more complicated than finding a solution in your country where you already speak the language and have friends.

You could get a long term resident visa if your mother or your grandparents were Japanese.

However, you cannot legally work in Japan without your parents' consent until you turn 18.
