One day in Miyazaki - Phoenix or Sun Messe?

I will be bus pass and taking the earliest bus from Miyazaki (0825). I need to be back in Miyazaki in order to catch the last Hamayuu bus to Kagoshima (1850).

I am sure that I want to see Aoshima and Udo but I was wondering if which one should I choose? Roadside Phoenix or Sun Messe. I plan to use this itinerary below:

If going to Roadside Phoenix:
Miyazaki (dep 0825) - Aoshima (arr 0918; stay 1:15; dep 1033) - Phoenix (arr 1040; stay 1:30; dep 1210) - Udo Jingu (arr 1239; stay 1:25; dep 1404) - Obi (arr 1446 stay: 1:14; dep 16:00) - Miyazaki (arr 1812)

If going to Sun Messe:
Miyazaki (dep 0825) - Aoshima (arr 0918; stay 1:15; dep 1033) - Sun Messe (arr 1104; stay 1:30; dep 1234) - Udo Jingu (arr 1239; stay 1:25; dep 1404) - Obi (arr 1446 stay: 1:14; dep 16:00) - Miyazaki (arr 1812)

Also, I will only be staying around 1.25 to 1.5 hours in Aoshima, Udo Jingu and Obi. Would that be enough time to go sightseeing in each place? Or should I cut Obi from the itinerary and just spend more time in Aoshima and Udo?

I spent a whole day at Aoshima and Udo Shrine, partly because one bus from Aoshima did not show up at all. I wasn't too upset, because my primary objectives were Aoshima and Udo - anything more was a bonus. I did spend a few hours at each place, because I am into photography and sometimes I wait and wait and wait until the lighting becomes perfect. I wonder if you can arrange your schedule so that you visit Aoshima and Udo first, then if you have time left visit one (or two) of the other places on the way back. I know, the buses don't run frequently.

Thanks for the feedback. I did check the schedules and can see that doing Aoshima and Udo first is doable. The buses sure are infrequent but I am amazed at how the timings alllow you spend enough time between each sites! :)

I've never been to Aoshima. But I think 1h15m is probably too quick. Bridge is a 10-15 minute walk each way.

Worse case scenario I'll just catch the next bus from Aoshima and skip Phoenix/Sun Messe altogether which allows me to stay at Aoshima for 2hr45min.
