Fuji Hakone Pass

Hello everyone!

I'm traveling to Japan and I'm buying the Fuji Hakone Pass but I have a question.

I'm starting my trip in Tokyo, then I'll go around Japan for 18 days and in the last 2 days I'm planning on going to Fujiyoshida and Hakone.

I'm buying the pass on-line and I know that I need to exchange to a physical one, but on the website it says that I need to do it in Shinjuku station.
My question is: the 3 days of the pass start counting the moment that I exchange the pass or can I set up a date to start using it.

Because I'm going from Osaka to Fujiyoshida, so I want to start using the pass in Fujiyoshida and not Tokyo.

Can someone help me?
