COE processing times

If you want a honest response, yes there are some testimonies about COEs being rejected past 4 months. However, a longer-than-average wait absolutely does NOT mean it's gonna be rejected. If you application has issues, usually immigration will ask for additional documents rather than flat out reject it.

Don't lose hope! Also don't hesitate to enquire at immigration from time to time, even if they won't tell you any result date estimation, they will tell you if there is any document problem.

Applied dependent CoE on 30th may 24,Still waiting, Not received any notification for additional document.

Let me know here who got CoE applied in similar timeline.

My company owner want me as a manager
Then he sponsored and applied for COE
I didn't know company is in which category but It's (株式会社)
I spend about 5 years in nagoya japan already

Which immigration office did you apply to? I got mine last Sept 28 when I applied on May 23rd for a Dependent Visa. But mine was under Nagoya's jurisdiction. As I've noticed, Tokyo and Osaka have more applicants than Nagoya's so our process is quite fast.

If you are also under Nagoya IB, do not lose hope.

That's it... I think it's over for me as I'm starting lose hope.... I just called osaka immigration and they said that my coe isn't likely to be finished this month and it's hard to be issued this month...

Last month my company called them and inform me and my company that my coe will most likely to be issued this month but sadly now the fact is I just called them and they said otherwise... I'm so frustrated and disappointed... I don't know if I should be waiting longer.... Next week is Monday is exact mark 5 months of my waiting for coe...

Greetings fellow anxious friends:)

I submitted my COE for my wife and two kids July 11th at the Tokyo immigration office, Tachikawa branch. I’m a Japanese citizen so they’re dependents of a national. We live in the US and have tried calling but can never get through…. I had my mom from japan call, because it’s a different domestic number, but the line is always busy no matter how many times we call.

Does anyone have any experience trying to get through to Tokyo immigration.

Yes,I m also tired now to calling them on 0570-034259 from domestic mobile number.

IVR always saying that lines are busy. and when I visit immigration office branch officers saying we don't have any info regarding your application call on given number and get info.
