How much time for Chubu and Kansai?

Currently my plan is this:
Tokyo + day trips (Yokohama, Hakone, Kamakora, Nikko): 10 full days (including 1 night in Nikko)
Hokkaido: 8 full days

From Hokkaido I plan to fly to Nagoya, do Nakasendo and Kamikochi, and then continue to tour Chubu and Kansai. How much time do you think I need for that (in a similar pace to the previous areas)?
Unfortunatelly I don't have enough time to plan that part in detail before my flight, but I have to decide how much time to spend there, because I have to buy onward tickets from Japan.

I would suggest 7-8 days for each region, but it really depends on places you want to cover.

10 days to 2 weeks for Chubu and Kansai would sound reasonable in your trip.

The more time, the better. You won't see it all in one trip though, or 2....or 3.....
