Applied around 15 June 2022 and not yet received COE on 1 August 2022.

I submitted documents to my representative on 22 June 2022
They said they submitted my application on 7 July 2022

Not received anything yet.

Sent COE on 23 June, but till 3 Aug still don't get it.

I got notified yesterday that my COE was issued and being sent to me.

My timeline is

22 June 2022: Submit documents to my representative
7 July 2022: Application was submitted to the immigration service bureau
3 Aug 2022: COE was issued

For my case, 27 days processing time at the immigration service.

Submitted my documents to my company two weeks ago, they’ve just submitted today and HR have said we are looking at 8-9 weeks processing time. I hope it goes faster than that, that leaves me with less than a month to buy a flight once it arrives for a November start date! Glad I found this thread! Fingers crossed for all of us waiting!

Recently received my COE in the mail from my representative in Japan, so wanted to come on here and add my information because this thread helped a lot during my process.

From submission to issuing date my processing time was 12 days.
Date Submitted: July 2
Date Issued: July 14

I submitted my doc to my company on 18th of April. My company submitted for my CoE on mid June. Still no result. Does it depend on the company size? My company is a mid size company, and i am working as a backend engineer.

This thread has been super helpful so I wanted to share my COE timeline as a future graduate student:

July 01, 2022: University applied for COE on my behalf
August 10, 1022: COE issued and COE sent to me via post

Total of 40 days with immigration. Not sure long it will take to arrive in the mail to the US.

My CoE was submitted on June 17th Received on July 12th - 25 days
My daughters dependent CoE submitted on June 24th and still waiting - 47 days :(

Really hoping it comes this week. We have had flights for months and pushed it twice.

Applied June 15th. University sent it to immigration on July 20th (so late good lord)
Still waiting 21 days later. Will update when hear back from immigration.

Has anyone else applied for a COE and will be working in food manufacturing? I sent my documents on 9th May, Company was asked for additional documents in end of June but still no word on the COE.

They do say to never book flights until your COEs have arrived because there can be unforeseen delays. This is my second time going back to Japan with a COE and it was the golden rule I was told the first time around, hence why I’m not booming anything until that certificate is in my hand at taken to the embassy. Hoping your daughters comes soon!

Applied to a Uni in Tokyo area.
COE was submitted June 15th.
August 11th, still no word.

Anyone who applied in Osaka Immigration? My documents received by immigration last July 11. Still no news today August 13.

Anyone recently had theirs submitted to Nagoya?

Anyone waiting to receive CoE to attend a university in Tokyo in the fall? We think our application was submitted in early June and the university my son plans to attend has heard nothing. A little anxious since we can't apply for VISA until we receive everything. Praying the university hears something soon.

The processing time for the CoE is usually 1-3 months during busy period. It should be okay for the student to get his CoE at around mid September. Still there will be enough time, like 3 weeks to get a CoE and apply for the visa and come to Japan. Be patient and do not think much about CoE until the beggining of September. Once university gets CoE, they will let you know.

My language school have said to expect the answer around August 20 2022
so i'm still waiting ...
