Suica/Pasmo card

We will be going around Japan next year starting in Tokyo and just want to know if we bought the Suica or Pasmo card could they be used to:
1 Travel from Osakako Station to the Golden Pavilion?
2 Travel from Osakao Station to Nijō Castle?

Yes and yes. These cards can be used on virtually all urban public transport in Kyoto, Osaka and most other major cities in Japan.
