Strawberry picking in Kyoto

i have been looking online to find places to pick strawberries in Kyoto. however i am unable to find even one that is good and near the city. Do ur have any suggestions.

From a quick google search, it seems that strawberries in Japan are mainly grown in the prefectures around Tokyo (Tochigi, Chiba, Kanagawa, Shizuoka) as well as near Fukuoka. I realize this doesn't really help you as the closest to Kyoto is Shizuoka ... maybe the land around Kyoto is not really ideal for strawberry farming (too arid? pH of soil not right? not enough sunlight?)

There are many Strawberry farms near Kyoto as the website below:

However, they are not opening in this season.
