Congrats to everyone who got approved. Tokyo seems busier than other prefecture and take more time to process. Next will be 3 months for me since I applied and havenft get any call for interview. Hoping for the best. Many people says if your salary is good and paying more tax that helps also.

@Saadnk, Yes Tokyo is busier than other cities. if someone paying regular taxes then it doesn't mean if your salary is high or low. they just focus on paying taxes. i submitted my case in Tokyo but my company will send me to Nagoya for work from coming December. in that case i will ask the staff in homukyuku to change my application to Nagoya city. will change of job effect the application from one city into another city?

@ZH12 Moving to another city within Japan is not issue, for few days or months, If you moving permanently you have to request legal affairs to change registered domicile in your application, But your case will be handled by same office where you applied. So if are moving to same company branch, its not an issue, but make yourself present whenever legal affairs contact you to appear in their office.

@ zh12 Could you tell me please when did you apply? Before final notification you got any verification or confirmation call from homekyoku? Or you got direct final notification result?

Hi ZH12
I think you donft need to transfer your case to Nagoya. Since itfs temporary movement within the same company. Itfs better if you tell your appointed officer that you are moving there for a while and coming back again then the officer will guide tell you what to do. You better not suggest anything to them, you can ask suggestions from them what need to be done.

Hello all,
Congrats to everyone who has the good news. May I ask if anyone committed a traffic violation while waiting for the approval? I submitted all the documents in Nov 2021, and interview was completed in April 2022, I've got the blue ticket and deducted 1pt by changing the lane with yellow line stupidly. I paid the fine on the next day and contacted the legal affair officer immediately. I'm now very regret and worry about if my application will not be approved because of this. Anyone have similar experience of traffic violation during the naturalization period?
Best Regards, Yukimaru

@Suzu, congratulation to all of you to became Japanese citizen or will become Japanese citizens. Suzu, it is important to inform the Homukyuku officer about any kind of traffic violation or any other minor violations. if you they found the violations without you inform them then it will be a problem for application. And your application may delay for a certain periods of time.
