Does anyone have the latest information on public buses going from JR Kirishima-Jingu Station to Kirishima Hotel ? I searched the forum page but it seems the links do not exist anymore. So not sure if buses are affected by the Covid situation ?
I need to know how to get to my hotel stay.

The buses in the Kirishima region have been affected terribly by the pandemic. It seems the local bus company gave up on transporting tourists and is catering only to weekday commuters anymore. As a result, bus service on weekends is particularly bad. I hope the situation will improve again next spring. The Kirishima Jingu Station line (used to operate hourly) is still operating relatively frequently every 2 hours on weekdays, but is operating only three times per day on weekends (which corresponds to something like once every 4 hours): https://www.iwasaki-corp.com/wp-content/uploads/4b19c07310042d26b25172...’ indicates no service on weekends and national holidays Ά_{w Kirishima Jungu Station °©J the stop outside the Kirishima Hotel The table on the right refers to the buses from the station to the hotel. I observed that Navitime does not seem to have the up-to-date timetables in its database. Jorudan does.

Thank you for the updates! Did anything change to the situation? Is it possible to explore the National Park by bus?
Cheers Emanuel

I am afraid bus service in the national park remains horrible as of now. If it improves at all - which I don't expect - it happens in the spring at the earliest.
