Anyone visited Manza Kogen Hotel during end of December / early January time frame?
Is there any snow? are the ski lifts opened? given that weather change from year to year.
How is the restaurant? given that there are no choices of eateries in town.

Gooday I'm only posting because no-one else has - I havent been there. What I'd suggest is get on to Tripadvisor if you havent already, then look at the reviews and when people have stayed. You might find the answer in there. That is what I usually do, it works well.

I visited Manza onsen early December 2014 staying not at Manza Kogen Hotel but at Manza Onsen Nisshin Kan, which I highly recommend. Snow was plenty full then, but could not recall seeing anyone skiing, possible too early for the season.
