At Fujisawa Station, you don't have to get through any gate.
The concourse connects the two platforms,
and they are on the same level.
- Map of Fujisawa Station (Odakyu)
https://www.odakyu.jp/station/data/o5oaa10000000mbz-img/fujisawa_all.j...Trains starting from Katase-Enoshima Station (OE16)
are mostly Local trains which run for the short section
between Katase-Enoshima (OE16) and Fujisawa (OE13).
These Local trains basically use Track 4 of Fujisawa Station.
Express and Rapid Express trains bound for Shinjuku (OH01)
depart at Track 1 or 2.
Google Maps states that I should take the Enoshima Line from Katase-Enoshima station to Fujisawa Station then make a transfer to the Odawara Line from Fujisawa Station to Shinjuku station, so 2 lines with one transfer. The boundary station is not Fujisawa (OE13) but Sagami-Ono (OH28).
Odakyu Fujisawa Station (OE13) is not at the end of the line,
but most trains terminate there.

At Shinjuku, make sure not to confuse
the Odakyu exit gate and the Odakyu-JR transfer gate.
It's better to know in advance
which gate or exit is convenient (for your destination)
and how to get there from the platform.
Shinjuku Station complex can be a labyrinth for first timers.
