Hi…we are staying near Kanda Station and wanting restaurants that have a view of a garden, waterfall etc to have lunch or dinner and not too expensive. Or any unique restaurants in Tokyo? Will be staying for a week.
Any advice appreciated….

There is a tea pavilion in Hamarikyu garden. You can’t have lunch/dinner but a green tea and Japanese sweet in tge middle if a japanese garden. Otherwise you could consider picknick in many different gardens, eg Hamarikyu, Shinjuku Gyoen, Ueno park… just buy a bento in a shop closeby and a vinyl sheet at a 100 yen shop. For more unique restaurants with a view try some restaurants on the top flooor of skyscrapers. I know the ones around Shiodome but there are many others. Lunch will always be cheaper than dinner. For restaurant in a garden I now remember one in Hibiya Koen. I don’t remember if I ever went, but it looks fancy. A cheap and fun place to eat in a park is this simple snack bar in Wadabori park: Musashinoen +81 3-3312-2723 https://maps.app.goo.gl/BEP9cvaSWBHuKB4dA?g_st=icBut for a tourist a bit hard to reach and I think there is nothing touristy interesting around there either. (But for me Wadabori is the best park in Tokyo) I am sure there are more. Maybe look for a park in an area where you’ll be anyway and have a look on google maps if there is a restaurant in it. Just remembered a restaurant in Rikugien garden. I think it was a soba place. Rikugien anyway is a very nice garden. Regarding waterfalls nothing comes to mind. Not sure if there is any waterfall in Tokyo city at all.

I forgot a really nice cafe (not restaurant though) in the garden of Nezu museum, which in itself is a superb museum with garden.
And the rest area (free tea) at the Idemitsu museum has a superb view of the royal palace gardens.

Thank you so much for your valuable information. It was much appreciated.
Have booked the Canal Cafe as that is exactly the view I was seeking ie either a garden or water.
