Iyonada Monogatori sightseeing train 2024/5/18 07:07
Hi,

Has anyone use JR pass to take the Iyonada Monogatori train from Matsuyama to Iyo-Uzo or Yawatahama?

We have JR pass green car and this particular train is all green car carriage, so we should be able to use the pass to reserve seats when we arrive in Japan . But notice the tickets include bento meal service.

Wondering if there are any additional charges on top of the JR green pass ? (Bento, limited express fee etc )

Thanks in advance

The train ticket does *not* include the meal, it has to be purchased separately. More explanations here:

Note that "tabiwa by Wester" requires you to be a Japanese resident (I did not complete the registration process after I saw that).

Thanks Mellye for the link.

By the way, did you end up riding the train at the end ?

Understand that overseas visitors canft reserve the tickets online but read from various sources that they can be booked at JR offices in person.

I did. We did not have a JR pass though, just went to a counter and bought the tickets, about 10 days before the trip.
