Amami Oshima Tourist Attractions

Hi All,

At present, I'll be on Amami Oshima (with a car) for almost three continuous full travel days in Feb. Apart from the info stated on JG (https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e4690.html), does anyone else have any other suggestions??

Also - if anyone is aware of any major problems with roads due to major previous landslides/typhoons that cut the island in half - I'd love to hear about it.

Have you looked into these pages? The 6th one lists the best 18 and the last the best 30.

The big rain that caused damage on Amami happened years ago. Likewise, all the damage has been repaired years ago. There are no major road closures on the island today.
