Kochi (Shikokuo) to Kansai Airport

Hi,
I'm searching for flights from Kochi to Osaka Kansai airport, but I realise it seems that the flights to Kansai airport seem to stopover at Haneda airport. There are other flights which seem to fly from Kochi to Itami airport at Osaka. But that would entail taking the airport bus to Kansai airport. I would like to check which would be a more convenient approach to go to Kansai airport?

There is gonna be limited options. There used to be buses. But post covid, a lot of services haven't returned.
Trains is another option. But just as many transfers as you flying to Itami option.
