COE processing times

Guys I have a question

So my friends get an offer from Japanese company and he want to apply a coe for engineering/humanities immediately but the only concern is he doesn't have any language profiency certificates, does it affect the process of the coe? He only have a bachelor degree.

Anyone have encounter a similar situation or problem as my friend? Any help and answer from you guys will be much appreciated it.

Not speaking Japanese or not having language proficiency certificates does not negatively affect the chances of getting an engineer or humanities COE.

It's the employer's role to judge the future employee's ability to communicate. And since they've received a job offer, it means the employer deems they're proficient in whatever language they'll need to do the job. And immigration has no say in that.

For this visa, immigration only cares about seeing that the applicant is an educated immigrant (either via an university degree or 10yr of experience), and that they're paid no less than what a Japanese employee would.

Applied 8 August for SSW 1
It's been around 2 months
My contract will begin on 1 Dec
As date of entry on my contract is 1 dec
So my coe will be delayed because of this contract date??

Any French citizen still waiting for COE ??
I applied on the 15th of July for a work visa.
Almost 3 months wait...

Sad news as I not received any update regarding my coe for this week. I hope that next week I will receive mine.

Seems like no news at all from osaka immigration and this week issuance is so few

Has a May COE been issued recently by Tokyo Immigration?

End of April.
Osaka immigration.
My contract was supposed to begin in July,
I am still waiting. I don't think that it has anything to do with the contract date.
Also, I'm a German citizen.
According to my lawyer, all other people who he applied for in April have now received their COEs. Mine is the only one they are still waiting for...

Im now loosing hope,.its been 5months and counting and still no news about my coe..
