Hello,
has anyone been during Awa odori festival in Tokushima city? I've heard that because of COVID is not impressive as it was before, what do you guys think? still worth going? can you participate in the dance like Nebuta or just see it from outside?

I was there a few years ago before the covid. I stayed in Tokushima two nights.
If you are planning to visit during the festival, be sure to get the accommodation ASAP. I loved the festival, I am sure you will too.
