KoyaSan World Heritage Ticket 24hrs or 2 days

I have been trying to find out whether the ticket is valid for 24 hrs or 2 actual consecutive days. Do we need to arrive back at Namba within 24hrs of leaving from Namba? so could we take a 10am train from Namba on day 1 and arrive back in Namba on day 2 before 10am or can it be later such as 1pm?

It is valid for 2 consecutive calendar days. Eg: Tuesday and Wednesday, full days.

@Mellye is there a way I can reserve seats on the trains having bought the tickets online or are there plenty of seats when getting to the station? Have asked Nankai but no response and can’t find any option in their website.

According to the website, yes, you can select your train/seat after buying the pass.

1) After your purchase, a confirmation E-mail will be sent to your E-mail address.
2) Select a product from the ticket wallet and select your train seat of the limited express.

With the digital version, you have to select the start date of the pass when you buy it. It will also be the date you use the outbound limited express train, and you cannot change it afterwards. You have to request a refund, and buy it again.

Hi @Mellye. I have the wallet on my phone but it does not let me do anything…… there is nothing to click on to go to an option to reserve or even look at trains. Just the ticket which has options for details or use but when I click on use nothing happens. Very frustrating.

limited express trains runs less frequently. you can also go to Koyasan by regular express trains(2 trains per hour. no limited express fee and no seat reservation).

When you bought the ticket, did you select the "Includes outward express ticket" option?

No I went for the non express version as the timing for us works ok for non express. Are non express not reservable in advance?

Indeed, there are no reserved seats on regular lines.

in Nankai line,
limited express, maybe need to buy limited express ticket with seat reservation.
express, no seat reservation and no express fee.

many different trains depart from Nankai Namaba station.
limited express and express for Koyasan depart probably platform 4.
most regular expresses are bound for Hashimoto. you go there and change a train bound for Gokurakubashi, Koyasan.(a new train waits for arriving an express train from Namba. and it starts soon. don't miss the train.)
