Help for Mount Aso in November

Hi everyone!!!
I am writing because I would need some advice for a possible visit to Mt. Aso in November! According to my schedule, in the morning I will leave from Kumamoto by train and arrive at Mt. Aso train station (i'm not confindent for drive a car).
If the volcano activity allows (I will look at it the night before), I would like to see it and do some easy treks (as far as I can get).
The two things I wanted to ask are:
- Since I'm only staying one day (late afternoon I leave for Kumamoto and then go to Fukuoka), is it possible to see anything in one day?
- Are there any accessible treks? I mean, easy treks for people in their 60s? We are physically ok and go trekking regularly, but nothing heavy or mountain climbing. Let's say we go for walks in the mountains. Are there any such trails? I can't find realistic indications of the various difficulties of the trails on the internet and whether they can be done in a day.
Has anyone who has gone there by means and done easy trails, what is their experience?
Thanks in advance for your answers! Your knowledge is always really a saving grace!

It sounds like a lot of effort for a rushed 3/4 day.
From Aso station, it's a 25 min bus ride to the museum / horse riding plateau area. The you@ll still need to travel further by bus again to get closer to the crater for a few of the walks and viewing areas you can do.
And I say walks, not treks. Although, I think that's what you actually suggesting you want.

If the crater is open there are a bit of walks around it. Plus there is a grass landscape a lot Tel bit further down for some walks. Easy walks.

Yes, you can see something, if the volcano allows it. But given how you won't be driving, you will be quite limited in what you can see. https://youtu.be/Tyh_nKrv5tYThere is also Aso Shrine, which was severely damaged after a severe earthquake nearly a decade ago.

Aso crater doesn't need hike. it's a minute walk from the car park when it's open. Eboshidake is 1 - 1.5 hour hike from Kusasenri. Self drive is highly preferable there.
