Advice on Fuji-Hakone Pass

Hi there, this is my first time to Japan and I’m making a trip to Hakone and Mt Fuji from Tokyo. Not too sure what pass should I buy. Wanted to buy the Fuji-Hakone pass, but realized it’s only valid for 3 consecutive days. Meaning I won’t be covered by the free pass when I’m on my way back to Tokyo on the last day.
Greatly appreciate some advice on cost effective ways to plan out this. Thank you!!

8th Dec 24 - Leave Tokyo and travel to Hakone + stay over
9th Dec 24 - Leave Hakone and head for Mt Fuji + stay over
10th Dec 24 - Sightseeing at Mt Fuji area + stay over
11th Dec 24 - Check out and travel back to Tokyo.

Have you considered taking a late train on day3? That would be more efficient anyway, because now you are travelling during prime tourist time on day 4
